Wickett & Craig Bridle Watch Straps
For over a 150 years, Wickett & Craig has perfected the traditional craft of vegetable tanning. A labour intensive method taking place over the course of 6 weeks, it requires the expertise of skilled workers to produce durable and fine leathers that gets better with use as it develops a rich patina. Bridle leather is a full grain leather that embraces the natural marks as it is uncorrected, making it hard wearing for many purposes. A drum dyed leather, it is then hot stuffed with oils, waxes and tallows for a deep colour with a smooth and waxy texture.
